Nikon D3300 DSLR Camera

Nikon D3300 DSLR Camera

Nikon will released Nikon D3300 DSLR Camera which is their latest entry level DSLR. I was about to write about Nikon D3200 camera which has been around for a while but then decided to write about new Nikon D3300 first. After all I didn't see big difference in price between these 2 cameras so for now its no point buying the old camera when there is an latest one for nearly same price.

This new Nikon DSLR will be released to market on February 6, 2014. Amazon price is around $650 with free shipping. Price of D3200 is around $550. Yeah $100 less but remember you are going for DSLR camera and if you have tight budget then you need use this camera at least for couple of years. So Better go for the new model rather than old model which has been around for more than 4 years.

Nikon take time to release new camera models unlike Canon which try to push a new model every year for each of their camera lines. It's hard to compare their cameras but D3200 was another best seller at Amazon so many believe this entry level DSLR will be a big hit too.

Nikon D3300 features,
  • 24.2 MP DX-format CMOS sensor.
  • EXPEED 4 Image Processing.
  • 1080P Full HD video recording with sound.
  • Wi-Fi Connectivity with adapter (not included).
  • Sensor size APS-C (23.2 x 15.4 mm).
  • Shutter speed Max 1/4000 sec : Min 30 sec.
  • SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Cards.
  • Nikon F Lens mount.
  • ISO Auto - 25600.
  • EN-EL14a Rechargeable Li-ion Battery.
  • Battery Life 700shots (CIPA).
It's basically an ungrade from old D3200. There are several new features like,
  • More Flash Sync Modes.
  • Continuous Shooting Speed at full resolution is 5fps.
  • Processor Expeed 4.
  • Can do HD 1,920x1,080 / 60 fps.
  • Battery Life  700shots.
  • ISO100-12,800 - Hi-1 (ISO 25,600).
  • Panorama Mode.
Also you get a AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II Zoom Lens and this camera comes in 3 colors black, gery and red. It's small camera and even near to size of a bridge camera like Canon SX50. I think it can be taken as a cheap DSLR deal because you get a good camera with lens for just $650. and Nikon DSLR cameras are pretty good.
